Is Motto free?
You can try everything free for 3 days. After that Motto is a yearly subscription. Cancel any time in your iPhone Settings before the trial ends and nothing is charged.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, search for Motto and pick a size. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, then tap the widget area.
Where do the quotes come from?
Public-domain sources and original lines written for Motto. Attributed quotes are checked against the original text. If you spot a wrong attribution, tell us and we fix it.
Where do the paintings come from?
They are public-domain works from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Open Access collection. Long-press a painting theme in the app to see its title.
Does Motto collect my data?
No account, no tracking across apps. Your name, topics and themes stay on your device. Purchases go through Apple. Details in the Privacy Policy.
